Can NRIs Buy Property in India?

Repatriating Sale Proceeds

NRIs can repatriate up to the original purchase amount (in foreign currency) if purchased through inward remittance. Capital gains can also be repatriated subject to applicable tax deducted at source (TDS). We recommend consulting a tax advisor in your country of residence for specific guidance.

Power of Attorney (POA)

You do not need to visit India to purchase property. A registered Power of Attorney allows a trusted person in India (such as a family member or our authorised representative) to execute the sale deed on your behalf. We guide you through the POA process from wherever you are.
